1. What is MASC?


Malaysia Accounting Students Convention is the only convention that gathers accounting students from both public and private institution in Malaysia. It aims to begin a thoughtful, productive, and provocative dialogue among delegates.

2. When and where will MASC 2010 be held?
14-17 December (4 days 3 nights), in University of Malaya.

     3. Who can join MASC?
Malaysian accounting undergraduate.
      
     4. I am an Economic and Business student, can I join?
Sure, but priority will be given to the accounting students.
  
     5.  I am a foreign student, can I join?
Can, as long as you are studying in Malaysia.

    6.  Why should I join MASC?
  •          To enlarge your social network
  •           To meet your future employers

         7. Where do the participants stay during MASC?
Residential College in University of Malaya.

8. When does MASC registration open?
    10.10.2010 to 1 11.2010
                                                                            
     9. How do I register for MASC? 
         Online registration via e-form in our official website/official blog.

10 Can I register at the door?
      No. We only provide online registration.

11. Can I transfer my registration to someone else?
      No, you can't. =) Do contact us if you have further enquiry regarding this issue.
   
     12.  Is transportation provided?
     No. We apologize that it's beyond our limit to provide direct transport to our participants.
     However, due to UM location which is in the outskirt of KL city, we do have numbers of public
     transport which can reach here easily.

     i. From KL Central: Participants may ride LRT from KL Central to Universiti
                                   Station, then take Rapid KL buses(T632) to reach University of Malaya.
                                 : If participants were from the monorail KL Central monorail station,
                                   participants may take MetroBus (no.12) or RapidKL (U85) to reach Intan
                                   Gate of University of Malaya.
                                 : By Taxi - 15 minutes distance to reach University of Malaya.
    ii. From Bukit Jalil:   Participants may ride LRT from Bukit Jalil Station to
                                  Masjid Jamek Station and transfer to Kelana Jaya Line to
                                  Univeristi Station. Upon reaching Universiti Station,
                                  participants may ride Rapid KL buses (T632) to reach University of Malaya.
  iii. From Titiwangsa:  Participants may ride monorail from Titiwangsa Station to KL Central. Then,
                                  ride Metro Bus (no.12) or Rapid KL (U85) to reach Intan Gate of University
                                 Malaya.
  iv. From UKM/Nilai (KTM): Participants may ride KTM to KL Central and then proceed to ride
                                             LRT form KL Central, disembark at Universiti Station, take RapidKL
                                             buses (T632) to reach University of Malaya.

FAQ - Promo Clip Contest

1.Who is eligible to join this contest?
   All Malaysian residents.

2. What is the deadline to enter?
    20/10/2010
3. What should my video be about?
  • The competition’s theme: Competent, Ethical and Socially Responsible.
  • To participate in this Contest, capture and create the video of yourself with the criteria listed as below. Video that not fulfill all the criteria shall be disqualified.
  • The video MUST include: 
     i. MASC official logo.
     ii. MASC official website (www.umac.um.edu.my)
     iii. MASC 2010 registration date (10/10/10 – 1/11/10)
     iv. Contact Method of the organizer (through Facebook, Blogspot, or contact Mr. Koh Ming Cher and Ms. Tee Khai Shin)
  • And More, let it be YOUR creativity.
4. How and where do I submit my video entry?
-You can submit your video to masc10@live.com along with your personal information as listed below.

      i.      Name
      ii.     IC. No
      iii.    Contact Number(home) and (mobile)
      iv.    Email address
      v.     Facebook account name and email
      vi.    Mailing address

5. How long should my video be?
-No more than 2 minutes.

6. How do I be informed if I won the contest?
-Our organizing committee will take the reasonable ways to inform the winners.(By email,phone,etc)

7. Can I submit more than one entry?
-Yes, you can submit as many entries as you can.

8.What format of clip is accepted?
-MP4, MPEG, MOV, MPG, MPEG, AVI, FLV or WMV format.

9. What are the prizes for  winners?
-The champion can get cash prize,mysterious prize and certificate worth RM400 and above,while the 9 consolation prize winners can get mysterious prize and certificate with total worth exceed RM1000.

10. Does my video need to be in English only?
     Yes.

11. Do I have to be a professional film maker?
     No. And you don’t need to use fancy equipment, either. Any digital video camera or produce it solely by video making software (eg: Adobe After Effect) will do, be it low-end or professional quality.
